Our Commitment to Sun Protection

Sorrento Cricket Club supports and promotes sun-safe practices by:

• Encouraging players and officials to wear sun-protective clothing during games and training
• Promoting the use of SPF 30+ broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen
• Providing education and information about skin cancer prevention and sun safety
• Encouraging the use of the SunSmart UV Alert
• Scheduling training sessions and events outside peak UV periods where possible
• Promoting sun protection throughout matches and club events
• Providing and encouraging the use of shade wherever possible
• Encouraging all players and spectators to bring hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and protective clothing
• Supporting coaches, officials and senior players as positive SunSmart role models
